While Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to take the final decision on the class 12 examination, city-based schools and students are hoping for the shorter duration exams at school itself owing to Covid-19.
As the CBSE has planned to opt for either of the two options for class 12, i.e, regular exams for major subjects at notified centres or shorter duration exams at school itself, both students and schools are hoping for the later.

“Although the shorter duration will be a task for the schools as they will have to come up with sample papers and exam pattern for students, the exam at own school will be convenient,” chairman of Indore Sahodaya School Complex, U K Jha told TOI.

Moreover, if the examination is conducted at the own schools, there will be less number of staff required on the contrary, at the notified centres more number of staff is required which would be risky due to the present circumstances, he added.

Most of the class 12 students to don’t want to wait till August for the examination as it will delay the results furthermore and this may hamper the admissions at premier higher educational institutions (HEIs).
